Hi out there,
Sorry for the delay in updating, once again!
I have been pretty busy, playing with Joe Bonamassa in Birmingham and Bournemouth, great gigs both.
JB has a new CD out this month and I am very proud to let you know he has recorded my song “Place in my Heart”
Have been in the studio re examining the Stacks CD from a few years ago.
I have remixed most of the original tracks, adding the great Snake Davies on saxophone, he plays some fabulous stuff, and I have managed to find alternative parts by the original line up, Jimmy Copley and John Gordon sound tremendous on drums and bass and some lovely unearthed keyboards from Dino Baptiste.
Not sure what I am going to do with it yet, I think a double CD will show up of the original album and the new instrumental mixes, one of which is a new guitar on the before mentioned “Place in my Heart”
The two fundraising shows in the Radcliffe Centre in Buckingham, were both sold out in advance, and were memorable evenings; my thanks go to Cherry Lee Mewis and Michael Messer for singing and playing so well for the cause!

On the live front, I played the Jimi Hendrix festival in Poland early May, amazing event!
I play the Ground Zero club in Clarksdale, Mississippi on May 19th whilst in the US to finish the documentary film I have been making, taking in the Memphis Blues Awards as well
I am playing Ronnie Scott’s in Frith Street as a guest of the Marcus Bonfanti Band on May 27th
Jubilee weekend, Monday 4 June at 7.30 I will be playing in Tingewick with friends and will also welcome Cherry Lee Mewis and her Band, I suspect we will get together at some point in the evening, it will be a lot of fun, tickets are available from David Partridge on 01280 848460 or 848843, also at Tingewick Stores and The Royal Oak, at the bargain price of £10, get them early!
The UK dates are Banbury at the Mill 15th June, Linton Festival 16 June, Stratford, Bilston at The Robin, The Jazz Café, Camden Town London, 21 June, and finally The Stables, MK 23rd June etc……
See you out there,
Bernie M
